Work at Scenery
We're a café and roastery in Borough, inside the Jerwood Space on Union Street. Small team, full kitchen, open Monday to Saturday.
We try to do things fairly and with intention across the board - working with great suppliers - from our vegetables to our coffee, wine & beer.
The space
Victorian school building turned arts venue. Full kitchen, Café, roastery & production area, glasshouse with plants, plenty of seating - over 80 covers. We get a mix of theatre people, locals, and regulars. It's busy and communal.

Hospitality and attitude first. We can teach coffee; but we can't teach someone to genuinely care about people.

Coffee knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement.

Chef (Full-Time)
A role for someone with kitchen experience joining a small team in a daytime operation. The kitchen runs Monday to Saturday and the position involves contributing to service, maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the working week, and helping the kitchen run smoothly day to day.
What we're looking for:
- Kitchen experience, ideally with the ability to handle a service
- A good understanding of food safety and kitchen standards
- The ability to work well as part of a small team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
