Cafec Filters - T-90

We've decided to stock the products that we truly can stand behind - coffee brewing bits that we either use ourselves at home, or in the cafe. Cafec T-90s are sold with the idea of dark roast brews with osmotic flow (a type of brewing that keeps a constant stream of water hitting the bed that's equal with the draw-down rate in the cup) - but they've taken off as being brilliant filters for far lighter roasts with more standard brewing tekkers.

1-2 Cup are the equivalent of Hario 01 papers, 2-4 Cup the Equivalent of Hario 02. These papers are suitable for all brewers which accept Hario V60 papers.

What we particularly like about the CAFEC T-90 papers that they offer faster drawdowns compared to stock V60 papers, are extremely resistant to stalling out/choking on fines - whilst offering minimal filtration and at a price point more suited to daily brewing:

What CAFEC say: The T-90 is the dark roast paper in CAFEC's roast-specific Osmotic Flow range, and the fastest flowing of the three filters they produce in that lineup. It's built around their proprietary two-side crepe construction, made possible by an air-through drying process rather than the conventional method of pressing the paper against a heated roller.

This preserves the crepe pattern on both faces of the sheet rather than flattening one side, maintaining an air gap between paper and dripper that allows water to move through the bed at a smooth, even rate. Of the three papers in the range, the T-90 has the largest effective surface area, which is what enables the faster flow.

The T-90 designation refers to the recommended brewing temperature of 90°C. Designed for medium to dark roasts and for CAFEC's osmotic flow brewing approach, but compatible with any cone-shaped brewer that takes a V60 sized filter.
