Colourful | Fine Art Poster

Our second flagship product and design - Colourful, and indeed this design is the second iteration of the illustration. Whilst our single origins represent specific profiles and tropical landscapes in which coffee is grown, our blends have to sit in a liminal space between place, flavour and seasonality. Our oldest designs, these illustrations are more "deconstructed" to contrast with the more complex worlds of the single origin. 

Colourful was always supposed to invoke more of an intentional "vibe" than Facility - light hearted adventure. But our first design, despite showing momentum over rolling hills with the open road ahead -  both failed to match the vibrancy of the coffees going in, but also did not live up to its namesake, with a restrained green and yellow palette.
As we entered into our very first winter of operations, leaving our houses in the early hours of the morning and oft returning late - we were inspired by the stunning winter sunrises and sunsets, and it's both those skies and the feelings they evoked we brought to Lucas for Colourful V2. We've been stoked on it ever since
